When 'me' battles with Thee. But God brings victory

“Sea billows roar and foam! Fear and doubt that a crash will come! “Save us, O God, don’t You care at all!” This lack of faith overtakes my mind, often and at times, overall.
How can You love, continually, in my failure … to believe. Haven’t I heard? Don’t I know?  that You are faithful, You are mighty. Why do I fret? Do I forget?
” The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah. Pause and think calmly of that! (1)
Yes, I forget. From one moment to the next.
But this moment is new. And “God Almighty, I choose to seek You. To call out Your name. I will not be ashamed.  Increase my faith, O God, on You I call –  Please, dear Lord, Don’t let me fall.”
“Walk me into Your peace… in believing.
I go about on my own, ‘solo’. Forgetting You. Forgetting You!”
Be still and know that I am God.”  Be STILL. And Know – I AM God. (2) Right now! Right here! Believe Me! My beloved, I Am here.”
“The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah.” Pause and think calmly of that.
Yes, I will pause. I will think calmly, of that!
“Jesus, draw Your children near to you today. That our hearts would sing, that we would speak Your praise. That we would grow in trust as we move and be. That we cast every care as they mount up as the sea. And our life would have a new melody: “Create a clean heart O God, in me. That I might tell others of Your great deliverance for me. That they in turn, see You and believe.”
From my battle of ‘me’ to Thee, and ultimately to Victory!
(1) Psalm 46:7.
(2) Psalm 46:10, Amplified. “Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.”

I'm a believer in Jesus. Because of this, I am married to a wonderful husband and the mom of a large family. For those who have battled cancer, or any other tragedy or disease, you might understand, I had a choice to get better or bitter. I chose to give thanks to Jesus for my every breath. For that reason alone, wanting to proclaim His goodness, do I write - Toni
