Someone needs to hear this today . . .

A local church, Lexington Baptist Church hosted a LexKids Creative Arts & Sports Camp for four days for the community.

More than a hundred children registered for two tracks with choices of: Karate, Dance, Sports (football, basket ball, etc.), Art, Cake Decorating, Jewelry Making, Inventions, Tumbling, or Vocal Track.

The children that sign up for Vocal Track, with all those wonderful choices, love to sing!

The world goes about it’s day and busy way, and I was invited to lead a small number of children in this vocal track. We learned about breathing, warm-up exercises, and we learned a new song.

Pure and simple, on day two the children were given solo parts. I had Garage Band set and the Yeti mike on, and there was a take or two, but the voices . . .

beyond precious.

Yes, I believe there is someone today, that feels weak, weary, and heavy burdened.

I share this today for therapy.

Music therapy in a raw, rough, but profoundly amazing way.

Let the sound of little children come, and let their pure voices bring refreshment.

Let me know if God ordained some new strength in you.

The Lord is good and gracious. He is gentle. God is full of compassion. The people of God seek to be like Him, though we fail often, children seem to be our best examples. Children are a pure witness of Jesus’ love.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” Matthew 19:14.

I pray that someone is touched by the Lord today through the dear, precious sound of these children who truly love to sing, and I believe they will sing of His love forever!

I'm a believer in Jesus. Because of this, I am married to a wonderful husband and the mom of a large family. For those who have battled cancer, or any other tragedy or disease, you might understand, I had a choice to get better or bitter. I chose to give thanks to Jesus for my every breath. For that reason alone, wanting to proclaim His goodness, do I write - Toni
